Open Water Diver The Open Water course is a full
PADI qualification. Upon completion, you are a fully qualified
diver, able to rent gear, go on diving trips and be involved in
the underwater world. Our instructor: student ratios are very
small, so that the instructor can spend a great deal of time explaining
and coaching you towards your goal.
The course compromises firstly five academic sessions in our purpose
built classroom, backed up with home study via a manual. We then
do five confined water sessions in St. George’s swimming
pool. Lastly, we take all these new skills and use them in four
Open Water dives. As always, all the dives are conducted in dry
suits, and we will provide the dry suit orientation.
The course timing and duration are flexible to suit your needs
and can be done over 5-6 days/ weeks with us. Academic sessions
can usually be completed during times to suit individual’s
requirements. Our price includes everything that is required for
the course and certification. There are no additional costs, except
admission to Capenwray (£6.00 per day). £300 per person (If Discover Scuba Diving is completed
with us £250.00)
Referrals and upgrades
Want to dive, but not learn in the UK? Done a Scuba Diver course
abroad and wish to extend to a full UK Open Water qualification?
Give us a ring and discuss your requirements. We can also offer
referral courses in which you complete your diving in Tenerife
for example. Do all the knowledge development and confined water
sessions here at H20, and then go out to a dive school in Tenerife
for the dives. Let us know, and we will advise you of prices,
accommodation options etc.
After your course
However you choose to complete your training, you may be concerned
that you will not be able to dive after completing it as you will
not be able to find a buddy to go diving with. As H20 is a very
busy dive centre, we can often tie you in with other H20 trained
divers. We run regular trips away. Please ask for details.
