

As a National Geographic Diver, you join an
elite group of explorers, adventurers and conservationists.
The insight and training you gain during this program will
broaden your awareness and take your diving skills to a new
level. You'll learn to observe and explore like an underwater
scientist.
Your experience begins with the PADI Open Water
Diver program, enhanced with adventures unique to the National
Geographic Diver program. You will learn to explore with detail,
identify important underwater features and navigate with certainty.
You will have the diving knowledge and practice to maneuver
with poise along the reef痴 ecosystems.
Whether you池e new to scuba diving, or an experienced
diver, the National Geographic Diver program will give you
new tools to understand and safely explore the underwater world.
You値l learn basic dive skills and safety information
through the PADI Open Water Diver course.

- You値l be introduced to worldwide
dive environments and opportunities by interacting with the
National Geographic Diver Almanac and DVD.
- You値l learn to fine-tune your
buoyancy to hover easily and maneuver carefully through delicate
aquatic habitats.
- You値l learn how to observe your
surroundings in order to get the best experience from each
dive. You値l gain practical experience by gathering information
and collecting images to create a visual representation of
a dive site, detailing what you致e discovered through your
observations.
- You値l improve your navigation
skills and ability to find your way around underwater by
using a compass as well as natural references.
- You値l be introduced to a multitude
of aquatic species and be able to identify local plants and
animals.
National Geographic Portal

Most
PADI Divers are fascinated with the aquatic world, which inspires
them to learn more. Because you have already learned the theory
and skills of diving, the National Geographic Portal gives
you the opportunity to build on your dive experience to learn
about new adventures, exploration and conservation opportunities.
The
National Geographic Portal will help you take your dive experiences
to a new level. How? You値l learn more about the world痴 oceans
and waterways and discover details that will enhance your personal
dive adventures.
During
the National Geographic Portal, you値l take your exploration
skills to an advanced level by collecting data to construct
a visual representation of what you explored. This project
may result in a map, graph, sketch, diagram, photo essay or
video. You and your instructor will decide on your area of
focus and plan your dive accordingly. You値l also gain navigational
skills that will aid in the exploration process. Your exploration
skills will give you a new appreciation for the aquatic environment
and add enjoyment to each dive. You値l find yourself sharing
your discoveries with other divers and becoming a true underwater
ambassador.
Whether you are a certified PADI Diver or certified
by another organization, you can take advantage of the National
Geographic Portal. The National Geographic Portal consists
of a knowledge review based on information from the National
Geographic Diver Almanac and
DVD. In addition, you'll fine-tune your buoyancy, navigation,
exploration, and observation skills while on an open water
dive

For any qualified diver with an entry
level "Open Water & above" for
National Geographic Portal Entry
Availability: Every Tuesday
Minimum age: 12 years of age
Prerequisite
Certification: PADI Open Water Diver and above or BSAC, NAUI, CMAS, SSI. etc.
Entry level or above.
Duration: One day with 2 dives and theory
Availability: Every Thursday Evening Pool, and Open Water on a Tuesday
Minimum age: 12 years of age
Prerequisites : Swim 200 metres, Float/tread water for 10 minutes & medically
fit for diving.
Duration: Theory/Knowledge development in our Shop, timing to suit you.
Thursday 7.45pm 9pm: Pool Dives approximately 3 to 5 Thursdays required
Tuesdays: Total of 5 or 6 Open Water qualifying Dives, conducted over 2/3 days.
